Teresa Bishop, Owner
The Cedarville Learning Center is a long running tradition in our community. As a mother of four children, I remember the quality preschool program that was then called, “Village Treehouse Preschool”. This program enriched all of my children and gave them a better start to their education. I would have never dreamed back when my children attended that I would own this treasured icon.
My background when I purchased the center in 2004 was in computers. So, back to school I went for early childhood education. Since 2004, we have changed a 3-day a week preschool only program into a full year-around daycare and Preschool/PreK program. Do you know we have second generation children attending the center? I am happy to have my own grandchildren as part of those second generation kids. I have been married to my high-school sweetheart for over 30 years. Gary is a big part of the center, supporting me and providing all of the maintenance. I have been known by many in the community as a soccer coach, I have coached children for many years, as young as 4 years of age and as old as high school. Now, I have the honor to be known in the community as the one who runs the Cedarville Learning Center. |
Ms. Sara, Administrator
Hey, my name is Mrs. Sara and I have been around the CLC for most of my life. Not only did I attend preschool here (when it was the Village Treehouse Preschool), I have also spent several hours during my elementary, middle school, and high school years helping the teachers with numerous tasks and accomplishing the many lists Teresa (my mother/the owner) had left for me.
I officially took a staff position during the summer of 2011 where I have been able to work in the classroom directly with the children. I really love being apart of the kids lives and building a relationship not only with them, but with their entire family. Outside of the CLC I have spend many years gaining experience with children through babysitting, coaching, and tutoring. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Business Management and Animal Science. I am married with two children, who both attend the Cedarville Learning Center. |
Mr. Mathew, Assistant Administrator/Preschool/PreK Teacher
My name is Mr. Mathew. I have lived in Cedarville most of my life. I went to Cedar Cliff schools since I was in the second grade.
I’m a huge fan of all forms of art. I hope to have an opportunity to teach about art in the future. I help at Dayton Avenue Baptist church on Sundays with my father. I found through that service that I really enjoy working with kids. I began working here in 2015 and I love it. I am so thankful for this opportunity. |
Ms. Rhonda, Preschool & Pre-K Teacher
Hello, I’m Mrs. Rhonda.
I have lived in Cedarville my whole life. In June of 2017 I got married to my wonderful husband and we have four children between us, which keeps life exciting. I have been employed at CLC since 2006 and love the kids. Most days they make me laugh, although at times, I don’t know where they get all that energy. I enjoy seeing their faces light up as they learn. The Cedarville Learning Center has been a very big blessing in mine and my son’s life. My son, Hunter, started attending the Cedarville Learning Center when he was three years old. Now he will be ready to graduate high school, class of 2019. He is also employed by Mrs. Bishop. I would not have wanted him to be cared for by anywhere else. The staff here genuinely loves all of the children that attend and we strive to find new ways to help them learn and have fun. |
Ms. Emma, Preschool/PreK Teacher

Ever since I was little I have always loved to take care of others. This job has allowed me the opportunity to not only nurture but to teach as well. I have always loved children and being able to work here has made me love them even more. |
